Anna Barbour

Anna Barbour is a Principal in BBB's Washington, DC, office. She has more than 20 years of experience with adaptive reuse and large-scale commercial and residential projects, including office-to-residential conversions, multifamily, and office base buildings. She is passionate about creating dynamic relationships with her clients and the design team. She currently serves on the executive board of AIA Northern Virginia, will ascend to President in 2027, and, as a past chair of the Women in Architecture Committee, organizes the chapter’s award-winning Architectural Registration Exam prep classes. In 2021, she was selected for the AIA’s inaugural Next to Lead cohort, a two-year program that elevates ethnically diverse women who are emerging as industry leaders. She has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Master of Architecture from The Virginia Polytechnical Institute. Anna joined BBB in 2019.
