The Beyer Blinder Belle Foundation has announced a new annual scholarship program benefiting Department of Architecture students at Howard University.
BBB's pro bono work expanded sidewalks with modular components for social distancing in Washington, DC's Georgetown, the neighborhood we have called home for the last twenty years.

BBB's Open Channel Initiative & AIA Northern Virginia's Women in Architecture Committee have partnered to host a series of panel discussions on what firms are currently doing to be more equitable, diverse, and inclusive, and how current practices can improve and grow.
BBB's RED (Research Exchange Develop) initiative is five years strong in its ongoing support for innovative staff research, promoting a culture of exchange, and enriching BBB's practice through development.
BBB has launched BBB Uni – a homegrown initiative for professional development and strategic enhancement of our staff.
BBB’s New York office pitched in to help rejuvenate Harlem River Park.
BBB released a Strategic Sustainability Plan to the AIA in response to the 2030 Commitment to transform the practice of architecture in a way that is holistic, firm-wide, project based, and data-driven.
BBB’s Open Channel initiative hosted a workshop on Unconscious Bias with Julie Kantor, PhD, an executive coach and facilitator.

To cap off BBB’s winter reading series, on April 5th Kyna Leski presented her concepts and book, The Storm of Creativity, which is an eloquent elaboration on the creative process. Kyna’s approach to creativity is non-linear and universal, applicable to all disciplines. She draws upon her observations as a designer, maker, and teacher to illustrate the ‘storm’ of creativity. I had the pleasure of listening to Kyna’s talk and having lunch with her earlier that day. Below are my reflections.
