Christopher King
Christopher King is co-founder and Creative Director of environmental graphic design firm LVCK, which became a Beyer Blinder Belle studio in 2023. Chris has 20 years of experience as a graphic designer and project manager.
His expertise covers print design, exhibition design, signage programs, branding, and website design. Projects include a new brand identity for Sabal (a 30-year-old Nepalese healthcare nonprofit), exterior signage for the Brooklyn Public Library system, a brand experience for Hudson Link and the Philadelphia Passport Agency, and new signage and graphics for two of Eaton Corporation’s office complexes.
Before forming LVCK with Laura Varacchi, Chris served as an independent designer for a variety of clients in publishing, the arts, technology, and industry. Chris designed exhibits for the Smithsonian, Christie’s, and others, and completed signage guidelines for Fortune 500 companies.
Upon completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, he began a three-year apprenticeship to become a journeyman in restoration carpentry; his first assignment was the construction of the corbel-vaulted ceilings for the historic restoration of Richmond Main Street Station in Virginia.
