BBB’s design for a residential and retail complex brings a mix of affordable and market-rate apartments to the East Village, adjacent to Alphabet City.
Two seven-story mixed-use buildings are comprised of residential units above a base of 54,000 SF of ground-floor and cellar retail along East 14th Street. Of the 210 new apartments, 50 will be affordable for low, moderate, and middle-income families. Amenities include a fitness room, resident’s lounge, playroom, storage, a swimming pool and steam room, as well as a rooftop deck. The project is exceeding energy code regulation by 20 percent and is receiving a green zone credit.
