Enoch Pratt Free Library: Before & After

AT LEFT: South Reading Room Looking East, 2016 - Earlier compromising alterations included the removal of historic lighting, overpainting of the decorative ceiling stencils, and introduction of mezzanines at the east and west. AT RIGHT: Restored South Reading Room Looking East, 2019 - Beam exposure windows and paint analysis revealed lost florette designs, which were recreated. New pendant and bookshelf lighting was installed. New modern glass and steel interventions, housing classrooms for the Job and Career Center, can be seen on the East Mezzanine.
