Beyer Blinder Belle Expands in Florida with New Miami Office Location

December 14, 2023

MIAMI, FL – December 15, 2023 – Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and Planners (BBB), an internationally acclaimed architecture, planning, and design firm, is excited to announce its expansion in Florida. With the opening of an office in Miami, the firm is proud to demonstrate its commitment to the preservation and evolution of Miami’s vibrant urban fabric and to creating spaces that empower people throughout Florida.

The firm’s current Florida work includes renewal projects for the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Miami and the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, and new construction for the Holocaust Museum for Hope & Humanity and the affordable housing community Catchlight Crossings in Orlando. Also in design is a high-rise mixed-use residential tower at 721 NW 1st Avenue in Miami, in collaboration with Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design, Inc. and developed by the Witkoff Group.

BBB’s diverse work is unified by a persistent exploration of historic, cultural, and civic meaning, with a design sensibility that reflects the materials and technology of today. Planning, historic preservation, and the design of new buildings are the fundamental underpinnings of the firm’s practice, and many projects involve the stewardship of historic buildings in sensitive urban sites—the work for which BBB has become best recognized.

Beyer Blinder Belle’s Miami office, located at 800 Brickell Avenue, is strategically positioned to facilitate collaboration with clients and partners throughout the region. This new location builds on the firm’s previous experience in Florida, including planning projects for the Miami Beach Civic and Convention Center, downtown Fort Lauderdale, and downtown Tallahassee. Today, BBB brings not only its foundational strengths in planning and in contemporary design in historic contexts, but also its extensive experience in high-rise residential design, which encompasses creative, detailed craftmanship in more than 3,000 residential units recently completed or in design and construction—including Witkoff developments’ The Brook in downtown Brooklyn and, in collaboration with Ian Schrager and Herzog & de Meuron, the PUBLIC Hotel and condominiums at 215 Chrystie Street in New York.
