The residential interiors of Eagle + West complement the building’s sculptural architecture and reflect its dynamic waterfront setting.

Two complementary towers, joined by a seven-story base, bring mixed-income housing, retail, and more than an acre of new public open space to Greenpoint, transforming this post-industrial waterfront. As unit interior designer, BBB laid out the 152 different unit types and developed a clean, modern look for the apartments that allows the dramatic views to take center stage.

To appeal to tenants with differing sensibilities, the team designed two material palettes for kitchens and bathrooms: a neutral, soothing “dawn” scheme with lighter metals and taupe accents, and a modern, monolithic “dusk” scheme with darker metals and black accents. Modern materials—wood, stone, and porcelain tile—incorporate a subtle sense of movement in their grain to evoke the shingled concrete facade, the flow of the East River, and the splay of sunlight on the water.
