Beyer Blinder Belle, partnered with David Rubin Land Collective, led a team working with the City of Fort Wayne to develop the next phase of their Riverfront Master Plan.
Building from a previously completed conceptual plan for the riverfront area of downtown Fort Wayne, we facilitated a robust community engagement, planning, and design effort to reframe the river as an asset for the city’s urban environment. The ultimate goal of this process was to create a framework that capitalizes on the city’s recent public space and infrastructure investments and to begin to see returns through private development. The project included several community visioning sessions, a development master plan, an infrastructure master plan, and the public space design of Phases 2 and 3 of the downtown riverfront core.
