Designed with craftsmanship as the guiding principle, The Hendrik draws upon the neighborhood’s industrial past as home to the labor force that built much of New York City. To complement the predominately brick neighborhood, BBB specified Petersen Brick, a Danish handmade, coal-fired brick distinguished by its vibrant colors and deep tonality, unusual sizes, and textures. Each Petersen brick is unique. BBB traveled to Denmark with the client to visit the Petersen factory to finalize the color selection and understand the installation methodology first-hand.
