James Musasizi

Architectural and Urban Designer

James Musasizi is an Architectural and Urban Designer, with a particular focus on green design in tropical Africa. James has been a panelist and presenter at many socially driven events, most recently as a host of Localtalks, an after-work series of events to unite people passionate about green design, architecture, and construction in East Africa. James holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Makerere University, Kampala, where he served as the chief editor of Mukitecture, an architecture students’ publication. The results of his thesis, which focused on the evolving nature of informal settlement house types in Kitintale, were a masterplan for the sustainable growth of a low-income community in Kitintale Zone 12, and the design of a community center that blended arts education, skateboarding, and breakdancing. James joined BBB in 2023.
