139 Wooster Street

139 Wooster Street is a residential and retail space on two joined lots in the heart of the SoHo Cast Iron Historic District.

139 Wooster Street is comprised of two interconnected buildings between Wooster Street and West Broadway. Both eight stories tall and featuring street-level retail, the buildings are connected by an exterior courtyard. The Wooster Street structure is 50 feet wide with 11 residential units, while the 25-foot-wide West Broadway building has five residential units. The units range from two, three, and 4-bedroom units, including one duplex, one triplex, and extensive outdoor terraces on the upper floors. Each building also responds to its individual street context: The West Broadway building features a simplified revision of the masonry facades that are typical of the district, while the Wooster Street building takes a more modern approach to its details, referencing the cast iron and masonry hybrid facades of many of its neighbors.
