Catchlight Crossings is a first-of-its-kind approach designed to address the shortage of affordable housing in the Orlando region. Developed by Wendover Housing Partners, as part of Universal Destinations & Experience’s “Housing for Tomorrow” initiative to create economically diverse housing options and healthy communities, this redevelopment in the heart of Orlando’s tourist corridor represents an affordable community built to enhance the lifestyle of its residents. As Master Planner and Design Architect, BBB has created an innovative pedestrian-oriented design for a community of 1,000 affordable and mixed-income housing units, a wide range of on-site services including medical offices and tuition-free preschool and 16,000 SF of retail space.
