Shelby Pollack
Shelby Pollack is an Architectural Designer in BBB’s Washington DC office. She has previous experience working primarily on residential projects on the East Coast: single-family homes, shelters, dorms, and boutique hotels. Shelby’s work has been published and displayed locally and abroad. She has also received awards including a Gold Global Design Future Award for conceptual urban design for the Venice Biennale and first place in the Solar Decathlon’s office building category. Shelby received her Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech’s Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center, where she served as the American Institute of American Students (AIAS) chapter liaison, co-founded ARCH Club, was a photography graduate teaching assistant, and participated in a two-week externship to restore a cottage on Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West World Heritage Site. Her thesis, Fostering Homefulness, explores wellness-focused group housing for teens in foster care. Shelby also holds dual Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Architecture and Photography with a minor in Sustainability, where she was AIAS chapter president, AIAS chapter treasurer, and a student government representative. She joined BBB in 2023.
