Caroline VanAcker
Caroline is an Architect in BBB’s Washington DC office, where she works across a variety of projects including neighborhood planning, new construction, historic preservation, and adaptive reuse. Caroline’s responsibilities typically span the full life of a project, starting with site assessment and concept visualization and continuing through design development, contract documents, and construction administration. Among her projects are the Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square, the Planet Word museum at the historic Franklin School, the Washington Union Station Master Development Plan, and the Downtown East Re-Urbanization Strategy with the D.C. Office of Planning. A regular contributor to ULI Washington and the professional development efforts of the AIA’s Northern Virginia and DC chapters, Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Architecture from Yale University. She joined BBB in 2014.
